Mission
Creating a scientific environment that encourages the conduct of applied research projects, paying attention to the distinguished competencies of researchers, and advancing those who are less capable of achievement, in order to transform societal problems into applicable research projects.
Objectives
- Preparing and implementing strategic plans for research projects, research groups, centers of excellence, central laboratories, etc.
- Preparing and implementing internal research projects at the university and following up on their progress
- Searching for donors to research projects and facilitating the task of researchers to apply for them and follow them up
- Preparing periodic workshops on how to formulate and prepare research proposals and how to submit them to donors
- Contributing to transforming the outputs of research projects into international publications, patents, products, etc
- Studying the establishment of scientific centers of excellence and research groups, as well as central laboratories, especially in modern and multidisciplinary specializations
- Studying the possibility of marketing some of the promising projects outputs and creating some technological incubators and startup companies
